Respark Your Life

Sep 20, 2021

Boards are a place where you can contribute to something you feel passionate about. You can help bring about changes in your community or industry. And in the process, there are many other benefits that you can enjoy. Through your efforts you have an opportunity to build prestige and demonstrate your strengths while also learning from other people’s perspectives. You network and build friendships and expose yourself to opportunities.

Today Raymond will be speaking to Elizabeth Verwey. She owns and operates her own business called Home Office Mentors. She’s also a mentor with the Canadian Association of Professional Speakers, whose focus is to guide people in business to become more effective in their time and space management, so they have more time to play.

Elizabeth founded Spoken Lives: Stories Women Share in 2015. She curates speakers who have powerful personal stories to share, online. They tell stories about turning points in their lives and inspire others to persevere in their own lives. She has helped over 1,200 professionals get more work done - in less time. She mentors, writes, and speaks about small business issues and has owned and operated Office Mentors since 1998. She has written seven customized mentoring programs for business owners, not for profits, and associations.

In this episode, you will learn:

How to find and contribute to a cause with your values and ethics.

How to enhance your negotiation skills.

How to enhance your prestige.
